  1. Great list Josh. I also keep my camera in my carry-on, as well as a change of clothes, depending where I am going, should my checked bag get lost.

  2. i do all as carry on but have been getting lazy of late and check in my travel backpack. Since the flights are single destination I don’t feel like once before where I went to Japan but my bags went to Chicago. I think the clothing change is big! Also imagine being stuck in an airport or hotel somewhere without your things. Many hotels offer packs in the room for toothbrushes and shampoo and soap especially here in Cambodia and Vietnam before. Those are nice to have when things may be in your checked luggage. The other thing I routinely carry are portable chargers and usb cables for devices or perhaps my entire bag of charging cables which includes the one for the mac laptop and my 3 port and 2 AC charger. Nothing worse than not being able to charge even a phone when you need to do something online at an airport and all the charging stuff is stuck in a bag somewhere or checked through.
