An Authentic Castle Experience

At the Dromoland Castle Hotel, you can experience an Irish castle stay the way it was meant to be experienced.  The minute you walk inside, you will be taken aback by the attention to detail and the authenticity of the experience.  All of the rooms are lavishly decorated and feature many vintage Irish relics that bring the castle to life before your eyes.

You can get lost as you explore the castle’s many corridors and rooms, which are all decorated perfectly to fit the period of the castle and are done with a tremendous amount of class.  Once you have checked in, you can take a nice stroll by the enchanting lake that sits on the property or make a tee time at the beautiful golf course on site.

How to Get to the Dromoland Castle Hotel

The Dromoland Castle Hotel is located in County Clare in central Ireland, just North of the city of Limerick.  It is about a three-hour drive from Dublin via the M4, M6, and M18 highways if you are coming from the capital city.  If you are coming from Galway in the North, it is only about an hour’s drive via the M18 to get to the Dromoland Castle.

The Dromoland Castle’s central location makes it an easy location to stay when exploring central Ireland.  Clare, Limerick City, Galway City, Cork City, and Killarney are all less than two hours away.  It is also a short drive away from the many stops on the Ring of Kerry and from the Cliffs of Moher.

The Dromoland Castle is one of Ireland’s most magical places to stay.  We so thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the castle, even though it was too brief.  Below are some of the many wonderful pictures that I was able to take while at the castle.
