I recently took an 8.5-hour flight from Honolulu to Tokyo where the entertainment system was down and it was brutal. Most airlines these days hand out free earbud headphones to use, but some of these headphones are very uncomfortable. That’s why I love to bring my own headphones when I fly. I have been recommending this device for some time now, so if it looks familiar to you that is why. If you are a travel photographer or carry a lot of electronics with you when you travel, having a good portable charger can be a game changer. A portable charger that I have used for years and highly recommend is the Anker PowerCore 20100.
Not only can you charge two devices at once with this charger, but its capacity allows you to recharge devices multiple times. With this great charger, you won’t need to worry about running out of battery power while traveling again. However, the restrictions around carrying batteries and remote chargers have become much stricter in recent years. Before you purchase any portable charger, make sure you review the TSA limits on lithium batteries.

Before I traveled to Southeast Asia this past year, I was concerned about carrying luggage because of the number of flights that we had booked. Another device that is new to my list of top travel accessories is this incredible Conair travel hair dryer with dual voltage. Now, I don’t typically use a hair dryer when I travel because my hair is so short, but many people I like to travel with do. In fact, I have bought this exact hair dryer for a few people as presents and they have absolutely loved it.
The most attractive features of this hair dryer are its size and compact folding position. However, despite its size, it is also quite powerful. Granted, many hotels come equipped with hair dryers. However, not all of them do. And if you prefer to stay at hostels or Airbnbs, you may not have access to one when traveling. If you’re someone who likes to blow dry their hair when traveling but doesn’t want to pack a large hair dryer, this is the perfect travel accessory for you.

I don’t think there has been a more consequential accessory in the history of travel accessories than the travel packing cube.
