Amazon River Dolphin
Manaus, Amazonas, Brazil
One of the most incredible wildlife experiences I have had while traveling was seeing the amazing pink Amazon River dolphins in Brazil. During my stay in Manaus, in the Brazilian Amazon, I took several boat rides on the Amazon River. On a few occasions, we saw these incredible creatures up close.
Having the chance to see them is difficult enough, but photographing them was another challenge. They don’t stay above water for long and move incredibly fast. I was very lucky to get a few great shots of this beautiful dolphin before it slipped away into the murky water.
