Tucked into the mountains of Tropical North Queensland, the village of Kuranda sits surrounded by one of the oldest tropical ecosystems on Earth. Any good Kuranda Rainforest guide begins with the sheer wonder of this landscape—lush canopies, ancient plant species, and wildlife found nowhere else. It’s a place where the rainforest feels alive in every direction, from the mist drifting over Barron Gorge to the vibrant butterflies and birds that flash through the trees.

Guide to Seeing the Phillip Island Penguin Parade

Guide to Seeing the Phillip Island Penguin Parade

If you’re visiting the Melbourne area and want a fun, memorable half‑day outing, the Phillip Island Penguin Parade is a standout choice. Along this small stretch of Southern Australia’s coastline, the world’s smallest penguins have become the region’s biggest attraction. These tiny birds spend most of their lives at sea, returning to land each night to rest and feed their young. They come ashore after sunset, when predators have poorer visibility, making their nightly “parade” both predictable and safe.

The Ultimate Milford Track Hiking Guide for Visitors to New Zealand

The Ultimate Milford Track Hiking Guide for Visitors to New Zealand

The Milford Track may not get the press that the Inca Trail gets, but from someone who has visited both Machu Picchu and Fiordland National Park, I can assure you that both of these hikes go thru some equally stunning landscapes.  Both of these landscapes involve epic mountain ranges that are bordered by rainforests.  Just like the Inca Trail, the Milford Track takes you thru the mountains and rain forest and leaves you speechless at the beauty.
