The 50 Top Destinations in Europe to Visit (31-40)

In the first installment of my list of the 50 Top Cities in Europe to Visit, I covered a range of European cities that I would recommend visiting.  There was everything from small Nordic villages to iconic European capitols for you to consider.  In this installment, I will be covering cities 31-40 on my list and my guess is that you will recognize quite a few of these names.  Again, I really could make this a Top 200 list and still not get thru all of the cities that I would like to visit in Europe.  However, for the purposes of this countdown, I am going to focus on my Top 50.  If you feel like there are cities and towns that I have left off my list that would be in your Top 50, I would love to hear from you in the comments.  More importantly, I am sure that other readers would love to hear from you as well.

The 50 Top Destinations in Europe to Visit (41-50)

When I was a kid, I used to look thru the National Geographic magazines and picture what it would be like to visit some of the faraway places that I saw on those pages.  Many of those places that I dreamed of exploring were beautiful cities and small towns throughout the continent of Europe.  Among the things that Europe is not in short supply of are beautiful cities with a rich history and enchanting small towns that look like they come right out of storybooks.  Throw a dart at a map of Europe and chances are that you will hit one.  Better yet, make sure you follow this series of articles as I am going to countdown the 50 Top Destinations in Europe to Visit.

My Travel Bucket List – 2021 Edition

My Travel Bucket List – 2021 Edition

I like to say to my friends and family that I think I was born into this world far too late. I have a burning desire inside of me to explore and there are very few places in this world that haven’t already been explored. Having read books about Livingstone’s exploration of Africa and Lewis and Clark’s exploration of the American Northwest, I think it would have been so amazing to venture out into the unknown, not knowing what you would see or what experiences you would have. However, while I may not be the first to explore the amazing landscapes on this planet, that doesn’t mean that experiencing and exploring them won’t help me expand my horizons and grow as a person. That’s why I like to keep a travel bucket list of the travel adventures I want to have before I die. By sharing this list with you, I hope to ignite in you some of the passion for travel and exploration that I have burning inside of me.

If you are looking to get back out and explore, here is a list of the 30 best places to travel in 2021

Let’s face it, in many aspects the year 2020 was an absolutely miserable year. Tens of millions of people around the world were infected with the Coronavirus and millions of people lost their lives. Even for those who managed to avoid getting sick, our lives were thrown into turmoil as countries shut down, quarantines were put into place, and our daily routines were largely effected. Many industries have been critically effected by the shutdowns, quarantines, and restrictions, and one of those that was hardest hit was the travel and tourism industry. With most countries closing their borders, airlines, hotels, restaurants, and tourism-centered businesses have really struggled to stay afloat. However, now that the calendar has turned and vaccinations are starting to get rolled out, it seems like the long nightmare of 2020 may soon finally be behind us. In anticipation of international travel opening back up, I have outlined some of my Top 2021 Travel Destinations to start inspiring you to travel again.

My Best Travel Photos from 2020

My Best Travel Photos from 2020

At the end of each year, I like to take a retrospective look back at my travels and the best travel photos that I took throughout the year. Not only does this allow me to reminisce about my year of travels, but it is also a great way to grow as a photographer. You learn a lot about what works and doesn’t work with your photography by going back and reviewing the photographs that you take. For instance, which lenses worked and didn’t work in certain situations, which photography techniques you deployed in certain situations that either enhanced your photographs or maybe didn’t work out the way that you expected. Even the bad photographs that you take can help you learn how to be a better photographer moving forward.

The national parklands in the national park system of the United States are among some of the most beautiful landscapes in the world. Between the mountain, desert, ocean, rainforest, and other terrains that make up these stunning parks, there is a wide variety of beauty that can be enjoyed by travelers who visit. While these national parks are breathtakingly beautiful year-round, many are even more beautiful during the colorful months of autumn when the leaves are changing color and mother nature has painted the landscapes with vibrant colors.

The Ten Best Fourteeners for Beginners to Hike in Colorado

As a beginning hiker, the tougher 14ers in Colorado like Capitol Peak, Long’s Peak, Little Bear Peak, or “The Deadly Bells” might be too much for you to tackle at the moment, but that doesn’t mean you can’t set your sights on the clouds.  In fact, there are a number of challenging, yet completely doable, 14ers in Colorado that beginning hikers can attempt to tackle.  With the experience of summiting these easier peaks under your belt, it won’t be long before you build up the experience and confidence needed to tackle some of the more difficult peaks in Colorado.
