Boasting its breathtaking collection of forests, mountain ranges, valleys, and deserts, the US is adorned with a wealth of stunning national parks that are ripe for exploration. As the handful of dazzling options makes choosing which spots to hit such a complicated decision, we thought that creating a shortlist of the best national parks to visit might help make it easier for you to plan your next trip.
Since I had to push back my plans to visit the Middle East this autumn, I have decided to take another road trip out West to visit some of the lesser-known spots in Southern Utah that I have been want to visit for a while. On this Southern Utah road trip, I plan on spending some extra time to see some of the harder to reach places that I haven’t had the time to see in the past. Places like the incredible Reflection Canyon and the Rainbow Bridge National Monument in the Glen Canyon National Recreation Area.

In fact, there are so many incredible things to see that it is hard to know where to start. That is why I have put together this list of the top 15 most amazing Southern Utah attractions that visitors should plan to see. By using this list to plan your trip, you can be sure not to miss any of Southern Utah’s top sights.

The holiday season can be a magical time of year and it can also be a magical time to travel with family and friends. Throughout the United States, cities large and small put on fantastic displays, events, and festivals to celebrate the holiday season. We’ve all seen the Hallmark movies that showcase little towns that become aglow around the holiday season and wish we could visit. Well, dream no more because there are cities in America that provide that holiday spirit without having to visit a movie set.
Between the mountain, desert, ocean, rainforest, and other terrains that make up these stunning parks, there is a wide variety of beauty that can be enjoyed by travelers who visit. While these national parks are breathtakingly beautiful year-round, many are even more beautiful during the colorful months of autumn when the leaves are changing color and mother nature has painted the landscapes with vibrant colors.
My trip to the American West and Southwest is fast approaching and I have been very busy putting together a detailed itinerary for our trip. There are no flights or hotels involved in this trip, so you would think the planning process would be easier. On the contrary, I have found that the logistics of planning a cross-country camping road trip are even more complex than planning your typical fly-and-stay vacation. Add to that the complexities of the COVID-19 situation and it has been a very interesting travel planning exercise.
As far as this summer goes, I have been itching to take another road trip thru the American Rockies and American Southwest, and I think the current situation makes this year the ideal time to make that trip happen. I feel much more comfortable driving than flying and it is easy to distance yourself from others when you are out hiking and camping. When things start to open up in the United States this summer, taking a road trip and knocking off some of the US National Parks that I have yet to see sounds like a great alternative to the plans I had to cancel.
As a beginning hiker, the tougher 14ers in Colorado like Capitol Peak, Long’s Peak, Little Bear Peak, or “The Deadly Bells” might be too much for you to tackle at the moment, but that doesn’t mean you can’t set your sights on the clouds. In fact, there are a number of challenging, yet completely doable, 14ers in Colorado that beginning hikers can attempt to tackle.
In this edition of my countdown of the top United States travel destinations, I am going to conclude my countdown with items 1-10 on my list. There are some fantastic places to add to your United States travel bucket list on here, some of which are lesser-known travel treasures.
