An overview of my itinerary planning for Day 10 of my 2020 US National Parks Road Trip
The first epic national parks road trip in my series covers some of the most well-known and popular national parks and monuments in the United States. After flying into Rapid City, South Dakota and renting a car, you will start exploring almost immediately. With the Badlands National Park and Mount Rushmore in the Rapid City area, you will get your first taste of America’s national parks and monuments right at the start.
To this day, Devil’s Tower continues to attract a lot of visitors, with over 440,000 people a year visiting the monument from all over the world. On top of being one of America’s biggest geological wonders, it is also one of the best crack rock climbing locations in North America.
I have been to exactly half of the 46 National Parks in the continental United States, with plans to visit the remainder of the parks here and outside the 48 continental states. And I have plans to write about each and every one of those parks so that I can share with you my experiences and any tips I might have collected along the way.
