It seems like forever ago that we started planning this trip, so I am still sort of pinching myself that the day has finally arrived where we will be heading to Australia and New Zealand for a three-week trip. There are no words to describe how excited we are for this trip. Australia and New Zealand are locations that we have wanted to travel to for some time and we feel extremely blessed to finally be able to fulfill that dream.
Because we will be traveling, I will not be able to publish any extensive guides or itineraries while I am away. I take too much pride in making those guides as thorough and detailed as possible and I really like to do the post-processing on my photographs before I publish those to the site. However, that doesn’t mean you won’t see any content from me while we are on this three-week adventure.
On the contrary, it is my goal to take you with us every step of the way, so I have put a lot of thought into how I am going to provide you with updates as we move from one adventure to the next. While I won’t be publishing any detailed guides while I am away, I will be posting quite a few journal entries here on the blog that you can read and provide quite a few social media posts with updates on our experiences.
In case you are interested, I have included our rough itinerary below as well as what my plan is for providing updates on the blog and my various social media accounts.

Blog Updates
While we are traveling, I will be providing you with periodic journal updates on this blog. In those updates, I hope to share with you some of the experiences we have had and what we have learned during our travels. I tend to use these journal entries as I create my visitor guides and travel itineraries in the future, so I usually include a lot of great details in the journal entries that you might be interested in. Keep your eyes on the blog because I will post entries as often as time (and my wifi access) permit.
Facebook Updates
On my Facebook page, you will still receive periodic updates on the travel content that I have written while I am away, but I also plan on sharing some of my favorite travel pictures and videos for you to see as well. We have some crazy adventures planned on this trip, including scuba diving in the Great Barrier Reef, driving the Great Ocean Road, and doing a Heli Hike on Fox Glacier, so there should be some amazing pictures and videos to share with you.
Instagram Updates
While I am away, I still plan on posting my regular Monday photo or video to my gallery, but I will also be posting quite a few pictures and videos to my Instagram stories as we travel. In fact, this is how I plan on sharing the majority of my picture and video updates with you. So if you aren’t currently following me on Instagram, I would recommend giving my account a follow so that you don’t miss some of the great content I plan on sharing of our adventures.
Twitter Updates
Finally, while you can expect to continue to get all of the regular content updates that I provide on Twitter, I also plan on providing daily commentary about our trip on Twitter as well. Follow me on Twitter to learn about some of the favorite restaurants that we visit, adventures that we stumble into, and even the travel mistakes that we make (though I hope those aren’t many). It’s also a great way for me to interact with you as we travel as I will be checking Twitter every day and responding to your questions and comments.
