California Bound

It’s been roughly one year since I have flown, so getting back on a plane this morning is going to be exciting. It is going to be interesting to see which aspects of air travel are the same and which have changed. I will be sure to fill you in on my experience in hopes of answering some of the questions you may have.

I am heading to Santa Barbara, California for the week to visit my brother and his family. Not only is it going to be nice to be able to travel again, but it will be great to get away from the sub-zero temperatures in Wisconsin, if only for a short while.

While in California, I hope to check out a few destinations that are on my list. First off is the beautiful Pinnacles National Park near Carmel, California. Though it is one of the smallest national parks in the United States, it makes up for that by also being one of the most beautiful. If time permits, my hope is to visit and do some hiking inside the park. Hopefully we’ll also spot some condors!

Another thing I want to check off the list while in California is to take a whale watching tour and check out Channel Islands National Park. It would be great to get onto the islands and do some hiking if time permits, but I at least want to take a boat tour around the islands.

Well, that’s it for now. I board in 30 minutes and will be traveling for most of the day. Keep a look out for more updates from me throughout the week!

  1. Safe travels (you are probably in the air right now). I am very eager to hear how safe you felt at both airports and on the plane…

    • Thank you so much!! Long day of travel, but felt very safe. Very impressed by the safety measures Delta has in place. Will write more about it in next few days 😀

  2. Fantastic! Have a great time in California, send some sunshine and warmth to England if you find any! 🙂
