Solitary Baboon

Lake Manyara National Park, Tanzania

Lake Manyara National Park was one of the biggest surprises of our trip to Tanzania. I was fully prepared to be blown away by the beauty and the wildlife we would see in the Serengeti and the Ngorongoro Crater. However, Lake Manyara National Park exceeded my expectations in more ways than I can express in words. While we didn’t get to see the famous tree-climbing lions of Lake Manyara, we did see a wealth of wildlife. One of my favorite shots for the visit was of this lone baboon, sitting up in a tree near sunset.
