The world is full of a diverse range of breathtaking landscapes, spectacular wildlife, and incredible wonders that will blow your mind. Thankfully, many of these amazing places have been protected for current and future generations to enjoy by being designated as National Parks. Each year, new parklands are protected for travelers to enjoy, so the list of wonderful places to visit is only growing. If you are anything like me, then you probably want to visit as many of these beautiful parklands as you can. Well, you are in luck because I have put together a list of the 100 best national parks in the world for travelers to visit.

Top National Parks in the World

In this installment of my list of the 100 Best National Parks in the World for Travelers to Visit, I cover some of the world’s most infamous and revered national parks. In the list of the parks that I have ranked in the 41-60 range of my rankings, you will find some spectacular wildlife viewing parklands to visit, as well as some of the world’s most beautiful mountain destinations. If you are in search of a national park to visit this year, you will find no shortage of incredible destinations on this list to explore.

60. Kaziranga National Park, India

Top National Parks in the World

In my opinion, no country in Asia treasures their wildlife quite as much as India, and that is very apparent when you look at how many national parklands the country has created and how the country’s wildlife has played a central role in the development of those parks. One of these incredible national parklands that showcases the fantastic wildlife that calls India its home is the amazing Kaziranga National Park. The park’s roughly 430 square kilometer area is characterized by beautiful grass meadows, swampy lagoons, and some of the most dense and beautiful forests that you will find anywhere in the world. These forests are home to an array of incredible wildlife, including the largest population of Indian one-horned rhinoceros. There are an estimated 2,200 one-horned rhinos living in the park, which is approximately two-thirds of their total world population. However, rhinos aren’t the only incredible wildlife that visitors have a chance to see in the park. There are also healthy populations of Asian elephants, wild water buffalo, swamp deer, Sloth Bear, leopards, and of course tigers. With so much incredible wildlife to see, the wonderful Kaziranga National Park in India is certainly one of the top national parks in the world for travelers to visit.

59. Erawan National Park, Thailand

Top National Parks in the World

With its incredible beaches, spectacular monuments and temples, and amazing cuisine, it is very easy to forget that Southeast Asia is also home to some of the most beautiful national parks in the world as well. One of the most impressive of these parks is the stunning Erawan National Park in western Thailand. Located just northwest of the city of Bangkok, very close to the Myanmar border, the park is renowned for its incredible waterfalls, amazing caves, fascinating rock paintings, and wealth of wildlife. One of the most popular attractions in the park is undoubtedly Erawan Falls, which is a cascading waterfall that has a mind-blowing 7 tiers. In my opinion, it is one of the most underrated waterfalls in the world in terms of beauty.

The Erawan National Park is also known for its amazing cave systems, including the Phartat Cave, which showcases many beautiful stalactites and stalagmites for visitors to enjoy. For travelers who are interested in wildlife, the park certainly won’t disappoint you with its wildlife viewing opportunities either. Animals such as Asian elephants, barking deer, sambar deer, crab-eating macaques, wild boars, gibbons, and Indochinese serows can all be spotted within the park. No matter what brings you to Thailand, a stop at the incredible Erawan National Park is an absolute must for any national park enthusiast.

58. Canaima National Park, Venezuela

Top National Parks in the World

For travelers who love waterfalls, you will be happy to know that I have quite a few national parks on my list of the top national parks in the world for travelers to visit that feature some of the most magnificent waterfalls in the entire world. One of these such parks is the incredible Canaima National Park in the country of Venezuela. After all, it is the home of the legendary Angel Falls. If you were to make a list of the world’s most breathtaking waterfalls in the world, chances are that Angel Falls will consistently fall into everyone’s top 5 list. In addition to being the tallest waterfall in the whole world (with a height of 3,212-feet or 979-meters), it is also one of the most beautiful waterfalls in the world.

Then again, almost everything in Canaima National Park is beautiful. The park is distinguished by its numerous “tepuis”, which are flat-topped mountains that rise up from the grassy Savanah below. These tepuis are often covered by a magically looking mist, which gives the park its fairytale-like atmosphere. The park is also home to some incredible wildlife, including the giant armadillo, the giant otter, the two-toed sloth, the green iguana, and the green dart frog. If you plan on visiting the Canaima National Park, make sure you allow yourself enough time as it is the largest national park in Venezuela and the sixth-largest national park in the world.

57. Abel Tasman National Park, New Zealand

Top National Parks in the World

If paradise is an incredibly stunning stretch of coastline, then it may just happen to be located on the South Island of New Zealand. It is on the north end of the island where you will find the enchantingly beautiful Abel Tasman National Park. Well known for the Abel Tasman Coastal Track, which is a long trail that winds over beaches and ridges between Marahau and Wainui on the South Island, the park encompasses some of New Zealand’s most incredible coastline. Visitors to the park can experience the beauty of the park both by land and by boat, with many tour operators in the area offering boat cruises, kayaking tours, and even sailing catamarans.

For travelers who are road tripping around the South Island, there are plenty of incredible camping spots for visitors to stay. If you aren’t up for camping out, the area also has some incredible lodges with all of the modern luxuries to pamper their visitors. In addition to all of the incredible vistas, park visitors will also enjoy spotting the area’s incredible wildlife. Abel Tasman National Park is home to fur seals, little blue penguins, bottlenose dolphins, and many other marine animals. So, if you are looking to escape the tranquility of paradise, I would start by looking at a trip to Abel Tasman National Park in New Zealand.

56. Cat Ba National Park, Vietnam

Top National Parks in the World

Southeast Asia is one of the most breathtakingly beautiful areas of the world and the region’s many national parks are certainly no exception. In my opinion, one of the most beautiful of the national parklands in Southeast Asia is the incredible Cat Ba National Park. Located near the northeastern shore of Vietnam on Cat Ba Island, this stunning park covers most of the island and showcases over 35-square miles of inshore water. The park is renowned for its amazing limestone-based hills and beautiful forest-covered valleys. One of the most incredible landmarks in the park is the renowned Ha Long Bay, which covers over 600-square miles and has as many as 2,000 incredible islets. These beautiful limestone islets are what make the bay one of the top tourist destinations in Southeast Asia.

While the coastline is famous for its incredible sea stack islets, the island itself is famous for its incredible diversity of wildlife. Visitors who explore Cat Ba Island will be thrilled to see over 32 species of mammals, including Deer, squirrels, macaque monkeys, and civets. Many species of reptiles and birds can be spotted on the island as well. However, the prize wildlife spotting on Cat Ba Island is undoubtedly the white-headed langur, which happens to be the rarest primate in the entire world. If you have always wanted to visit Southeast Asia, I can think of few places better to start your exploration than the amazing Cat Ba National Park in Vietnam.

55. Djerdap National Park, Serbia

Top National Parks in the World

While the continent of Europe has its fair share of world-renowned national parks that draw hundreds of thousands of tourists to the continent each year, the chances are that the Đerdap National Park in Serbia isn’t one of them. It’s not that the Đerdap National Park isn’t beautiful, which it is, or incredible, which there is no doubt. Somehow, this absolutely amazing national parkland located along the bank of the Danube River near the enchanting Golubac Fortress in Serbia has remained one of Europe’s best-kept secrets since being officially made Serbia’s largest national park in 1974.

The park’s main attraction is the Đerdapska klisura, which is Europe’s longest and largest gorge. The nearly 1,000-foot cliffs that rise up from the Danube River to form the gorge are truly spectacular to see in person. Visitors can spend days exploring the park via hiking trails, mountain biking, or even getting out on the river and doing some kayaking. If you’re lucky, you will get to spot some of the park’s incredible wildlife. This includes among others, such species as bears, lynx, grey wolves, jackals, white-tailed eagles, owls, and black storks. So, if you are looking for a magical trip to one of Europe’s lesser-known gems, there is no doubt in my mind that you will be thrilled with a trip to the beautiful Đerdap National Park in Serbia.

54. Namib-Naukluft National Park, Namibia

Top National Parks in the World

The continent of Africa is certainly not in short supply of incredible wildlife parks. In fact, most of the parks in Africa that are on my list of the top national parks in the world for travelers to visit are on the list because of their wildlife viewing opportunities. However, some national parklands in Africa are more than just wildlife viewing destinations. Some parks are as well known for their incredible landscapes as they are for their amazing wildlife. One of these parks is the spectacular Namib-Naukluft National Park in the country of Namibia. Situated along the Atlantic coast of Namibia with the Dorob Park to the north, the Restricted Diamond area of Namibia to the south, and the NamibRand Nature Reserve to the east, the park is the largest protected area in Namibia.

The Namib desert is the oldest desert in the world and this stretch of desert coastline in Namibia is famously known as the Skeleton Coast because of its extremely dry desert coastline. In fact, the Skeleton Coast recently made my list of the top coastlines in the world for travelers to visit. In addition to the incredible sand dunes and the amazing desert landscape, visitors to the park may also be treated to some spectacular wildlife spotting. While elephants and lions have been gone from the park for over three decades, a number of the endangered black rhinoceros were recently re-introduced into the park and can be spotted by the lucky eagle-eyed visitor. So, the next time you plan a trip to Africa, make sure you consider the incredible Namib Naukluft Park in Namibia as well.

53. Zion National Park, United States

Top National Parks in the World

If you are a hiking addict like me, then a lot of the travel that you do is probably centered around locations that have epic hiking trails for you to explore. Without a doubt, the national parklands of the United States have a wealth of incredible hiking trails for travelers to explore, so there are a lot of options to choose from. However, for me, the top national park in the United States for hikers to enjoy is undoubtedly the incredible Zion National Park in the state of Utah. Not only does Zion have an incredible amount of spectacular hiking trails, but the park is also home to several of the very best hiking trails in America’s national parks for visitors to enjoy. One of the top trails in the park is the amazing Angel’s Landing hike. It is one of the world’s most renowned hikes for a reason, as hikers need to traverse a narrow ridgeline along a two-way trail on a 1,488-foot-tall rock formation that has a thousand-foot drop on both sides. There are guide chains there for safety, but nearly every year a hiker falls to their death on this trail. No doubt, the trail is not for the faint of heart.

For travelers looking for something a little less adrenaline-inducing, the park is also home to another one of the world’s most incredible hikes. Heights aren’t an issue with the renowned Narrows Hike, but hikers will need to navigate down the Virgin River in waters that can be chilly, even in the late Spring months. It is one of the only hikes in the world that you will find that follow a river in between steep slot canyons with thousand-foot-tall walls on each side. The beauty of this hike, and all hikes in Zion really, will absolutely take your breath away. That is why it is one of my favorite national parks in the world and a lock for any list of the top national parks in the world for travelers to visit.

52. Berchtesgaden National Park, Germany

Top National Parks in the World

If you are a traveler who loves to visit mountainous destinations, there are few areas in this world that you will find more enjoyable than the incredible Alps of Europe. While the country of Germany only has one national parkland that is located in the German Alps, the incredible Berchtesgaden National Park is certainly one of Europe’s most breathtaking mountain parks. The park is well known for its steep, rugged cliffs, deep pine forests, large glaciers, and beautiful, sprawling alpine valleys. The park sits in the south of Germany, along the country’s border with Austria, and was established in 1978 to protect the beautiful landscapes of the Berchtesgaden Alps.

In addition to a wealth of amazing hiking trails and alpine climbing routes for visitors to enjoy, the park is also home to an incredible array of wildlife. Ibex, marmot, golden eagle, and other native animals can often be spotted in the valleys or on the slopes within the park. For more adventurous travelers, the park is home to many incredible ski slopes for visitors to explore and several incredible gorges with breathtaking waterfalls that you can hike to. For the adrenaline junkies looking to maximize their adventure in the park, there are also paragliding tours over the beautiful Mount Watzmann to enjoy. So, whether you are looking for a wild adventure in the mountains or just a relaxing stay in one of the area’s many wonderful chalets, the beautiful Berchtesgaden National Park is a park in Europe that you definitely won’t want to miss.

51. Komodo National Park, Indonesia

As we get closer to the top of my list of the top national parks in the world for travelers to visit, you will start to see more and more renowned wildlife destinations come up. The first of these truly iconic wildlife parklands that makes an appearance on my list is the incredible Komodo National Park in Indonesia. Located in the center of the Indonesian archipelago, situated between the islands of Sumbawa and Flores, Komodo National Park is composed of three major islands (Rinca, Komodo, and Padar) and a plethora of smaller ones. All of the islands were created by volcanic activity and offer some of the most amazing coral reefs and diversity of sea life that you will find anywhere in Southeast Asia.

In addition to the wide range of fish species that you will find amongst the reefs, visitors are also likely to see beautiful sea turtles and a variety of marine animals like whales, dolphins, and dugongs. However, the animal that the Komodo National Park is most well-known for is the infamous Komodo Lizard, which is more commonly referred to as the “Komodo Dragons”. These large lizards can grow to an average length of 6-10 feet (2-3 meters), making them the largest lizards in the world. Seeing them is unlike any other wildlife experience you will have in the wild. For travelers who are looking for a unique and incredible wildlife adventure for their next trip, I can think of a few places as unique and amazing as the beautiful Komodo National Park in Indonesia.

50. Grand Teton National Park, United States

If you are a mountain enthusiast like myself, then you are going to absolutely love the next national parkland on my list of the top national parks in the world for travelers to visit. While many incredible parks in North America showcase breathtaking mountains, one of my favorite mountain parks is undoubtedly the Grand Teton National Park in the state of Wyoming in the United States. For people who like craggily, rough-looking mountain peaks, few in the world will match those you find in the Grand Teton range. In fact, the Tetons have been affectionately nicknamed the Matterhorn of North America because of the resemblance of the Grand Teton’s jagged peak to the infamous Matterhorn Mountain in Switzerland.

If you are an outdoor adventurer who loves to hike in the mountains, then the Grand Teton National Park is a park for you. There is a seemingly countless number of incredible trails to explore in the park. There are also several amazing alpine lakes, including the infamous Jenny Lake, for which you can canoe or kayak during the summer months. If you visit in the winter, the Grand Tetons have some spectacular ski slopes for visitors to enjoy. In fact, the park is in very close proximity to the amazing town of Jackson, Wyoming. The city has a wealth of incredible shops, restaurants, and resorts for visitors to enjoy. In addition, it is also home to the amazing Jackson Hole Ski Resort, which is one of North America’s finest ski destinations. Without a doubt, the beautiful Grand Teton National Park in the United States should be near the top of every national park enthusiast’s travel bucket list.

49. Gran Paradiso National Park, Italy

Many national parklands are considered to be special to the continent of Europe, and I cover a number of those extraordinary parks in my list of the top national parks in the world for travelers to visit. However, one of the parks that many national park enthusiasts consider to be one of Europe’s most incredible parks is also one of the continent’s oldest national parks. Established way back in 1922 by the country of Italy to protect wildlife species in the park that would otherwise likely go extinct, the amazing Gran Paradiso National Park is often compared to the renowned Yellowstone National Park in the United States because of its importance. As one of the earliest protected parklands in Europe, Gran Paradiso National Park laid the groundwork in Europe for the protection of many of the other important parklands we cherish today.

Known primarily for its incredible alpine landscapes and wonderful wildlife, such as the beautiful Ibex that call the park their home, Gran Paradiso continues to be one of Europe’s top outdoor adventure destinations. The park has over 343-miles (or 553km) of hiking trails for visitors to explore, as well as guided nature walks where visitors can learn about the 168 species of fauna, 1,124 species of flora, 59 glaciers, and 183 lakes that can be found within the park. So, if you are a park enthusiast, make sure you add a stop to the beautiful Gran Paradiso National Park to your itinerary the next time you visit Italy.

48. South Luangwa National Park, Zambia

While the big parks of Tanzania, Kenya, and South Africa draw an incredible number of tourists to experience their first African safari each year, the countries of Zambia and Botswana in South-Eastern Africa are becoming widely renowned for their authentic and wild safari experiences. Perhaps no national park is this truer than the incredible South Luangwa National Park in Zambia. There are good reasons why many wildlife experts have called South Luangwa one of the greatest wildlife sanctuaries in the world. The concentration of animals around the Luangwa River is some of the densest in all of Africa and the safari experience is one of the most authentic and wild. The park is home to over 60 different animal species and over 400 different bird species for visitors to look out for.

While the wildlife viewing opportunities in South Luangwa National Park are incredible, it would have been ranked much higher on my list of the top national parks in the world for travelers to visit had the black rhino not been poached to extinction within the park. While you will no longer see the beautiful rhinos while on safari in the park, it is still home to large concentrations of the other four members of Africa’s Big Five animals (buffalo, elephant, lion, and leopard). Not only are you likely to see these beautiful creatures while on a driving safari, but South Luangwa national park is also a great place to take a walking safari to get a different perspective of the wildlife. In fact, the park is known to be the birthplace of the walking safari, which is something they take great pride in at South Luangwa. So, before you book your next big African safari adventure, make sure you check out the incredible South Luangwa National Park in Zambia.

47. Mount Aspiring National Park, New Zealand

If you are an adventure traveler, the number one destination in this entire world that you need to visit is the South Island of New Zealand. Everything on the South Island is extreme. The landscapes are extremely beautiful and the adventures you can have there are extremely exciting. While there are many incredible national parks on the South Island of New Zealand, one of the most underrated of the parks is undoubtedly the amazing Mount Aspiring National Park. Named after the towering Mount Aspiring, which is one of New Zealand’s highest peaks, the park is an absolute dreamland of rugged mountains, expansive alpine valleys, beautiful alpine lakes, and incredible glaciers.

For travelers who love to explore mountain landscapes, you will be in heaven when you visit Mount Aspiring National Park. It has a wealth of incredible hiking trails, breathtaking blue pools filled with glacier-fed waters, exciting jetboat rides thru steep river valleys to get your heart pumping, and some of the world’s most incredible mountaineering and heli-skiing opportunities. If you are considering a trip to New Zealand shortly, I would strongly recommend adding Mount Aspiring National Park on the South Island to your travel itinerary. Believe me, you will not regret it.

46. Vatnajökull National Park, Iceland

I am guessing that many travelers and national park enthusiasts would be surprised to learn that the largest national park in Europe isn’t located on the mainland continent. While there are some enormous national parklands in continental Europe, the distinction of being Europe’s largest national park belongs to the incredible Vatnajokull National Park in Iceland. Widely known as an amazing wonderland of ice and fire, you don’t have to travel very far on the island nation of Iceland to find a breathtaking landscape to enjoy. Located in south Iceland, Vatnajokull National Park was officially formed in 2008 by joining Jokulsargljufur and Skaftafell National Parks together.

Today, the park is renowned for its stunningly beautiful variety of landscapes. You will find everything from incredibly large glaciers to volcanic and geothermal features such as hot pools within the park. In addition to the breathtaking glaciers, many incredible ice caves, beautiful towering mountains, and spectacular thermal features, the Vatnajokull National Park also has a variety of fun activities for visitors to enjoy. There are miles of great hiking trails and many established climbing routes for adventurers to explore, as well as ATV and snowmobile rentals for those who would prefer more leisurely exploration. No matter how you decide to visit Vatnajokull National Park, I assure you that it will be an experience you always remember.

45. Yala National Park, Sri Lanka

The next national park on my list of the top national parks in the world for travelers to visit is another of the world’s top wildlife travel destinations. The continent of Asia has a wealth of great wildlife destinations to visit, but the incredible Yala National Park in Sir Lanka is arguably one of the least well-known and most underrated of Asia’s top wildlife parks. The park encompasses a huge expanse of forest, grassland, and crystal blue lagoons in the Southeast part of Sri Lanka, and the park is home to a mind-boggling array of spectacular wildlife.

Visitors to Yala National Park have a chance to spot Sri Lankan leopards, Sri Lankan elephants, Sri Lankan sloth bears, and a variety of other mammals, reptiles, and birds. Many who visit the park come to see the endangered leopards, as the park is one of the few remaining spots to see these beautiful creatures. The park is also a great place for bird watching, as over 130 different bird species can be found in the park. So, if you are planning a trip to Asia in the coming years and would like to see some of Asia’s most amazing wildlife, make sure you don’t overlook the incredible Yala National Park in Sir Lanka.

44. Tierra del Fuego National Park, Argentina

When famed explorer Ferdinand Magellan sailed around the Cape Horn in South America, he spotted many bonfires, lit by the local Ona Indians of the region, scattered along the shoreline. It was for this reason that he named this stretch of coastline the Tierra del Fuego, which translates to “Land of Fire” in English. Today, the breathtakingly beautiful Tierra del Fuego National Park in southern Argentina is one of the most beautiful and popular parks in the Patagonia region of South America. Made of numerous islands and islets, which are shared by both Argentina and Chile, the park is the only protected parkland in Argentina that includes a protected shoreline.

Renowned for its stunning landscapes, the park showcases many beautiful waterfalls, jagged mountains, huge glaciers, glacially formed valleys, and a wealth of wildlife. In addition to the over 20 species of mammals and 90 species of birds that make Tierra del Fuego National Park their home, there is also an abundance of wonderful marine wildlife that can be spotted off the shores. In addition to spotting the park’s wildlife, there are also a variety of fun activities available for visitors to enjoy within Tierra del Fuego National Park as well. Hiking along one of the park’s many incredible trails, kayaking in one of the park’s many beautiful lakes, and fishing are just some of the fun activities available in the park. If one thing is for certain, it is that you will never be in short supply of amazing things to see and do when you visit Tierra del Fuego National Park in Argentina.

43. Katmai National Park, United States

For travelers who are wildlife enthusiasts, there is certainly no shortage of incredible wildlife destinations around the world. In fact, I have already highlighted several of the world’s top wildlife travel destinations so far in my list of the top national parks in the world for travelers to visit. However, no list of wildlife destinations would be complete without covering one of North America’s most amazing wildlife sights. If you thirst to see some of the world’s largest bears in the wild, there are few places better than the amazing Katmai National Park and Preserve in Alaska to do so. Established in 1918 by the United States government to protect the volcanically ravaged region surrounding Novarupta and the Valley of Ten Thousand Smokes, today the park also protects one of the world’s largest wild populations of brown bears.

The bears are drawn to the region because of the abundant salmon in Brooks Falls, which is a major staple in the bear’s diet and important for bears looking to fatten up before winter hibernation. What makes Katmai National Park so incredible is that the park has lookout platforms that are adjacent to the Brooks Camp where visitors can get an up-close view of the bears fishing for salmon without putting themselves in danger. So, if you are looking for an incredible wildlife viewing opportunity that you won’t find anywhere else in the world, I would suggest considering the incredible Katmai National Park in Alaska for your next big wildlife travel adventure.

42. Mahale Mountains National Park, Tanzania

While there are many national parks throughout Africa where you can see animals such as lions, elephants, giraffes, hippopotamus, crocodiles, and buffalo, the places you can go to see some of Africa’s large primates such as chimpanzees are much more limited. In my opinion, some of the best chimpanzee viewing destinations in all of Africa are in the beautiful Southeast African country of Tanzania. It is in Tanzania, along the border with the country of Congo, where famed biologist Jane Goodall did her research on Chimpanzees in the small, protected area known as Gombe Stream National Park. It is her work and the incredible chimpanzee viewing opportunities that have made Gombe Stream such a popular travel destination for wildlife enthusiasts. However, in my opinion, there is a lesser known, but a better spot in Tanzania to go to see wild chimpanzees.

Even though it isn’t as well known or as popular as Gombe Stream, the amazing Mahale Mountains National Park in Tanzania may be one of the country’s most underrated national parklands. In addition to having some of the best chimpanzee tracking experiences in all of Tanzania, if not all of Africa, the park also offers fishing, kayaking tours, spectacular beaches for visitors to enjoy, and an abundance of other wildlife for travelers to see. However, its remote location and limited accommodations mean that opportunities to visit the park are limited, so you must plan your trip to the park well in advance of your visit. Despite this, in my opinion, Mahale Mountains National Park is one of the most incredible wildlife destinations in the world and one of the top national parks in the world for travelers to visit.

41. Andasibe-Mantadia National Park, Madagascar

Out of all the destinations in the world to view wildlife, you will find few destinations that are as unique and amazing as those on the incredible African island nation of Madagascar. When the island was cut off from mainland Africa roughly 200 million years ago, it isolated the wildlife on the island from the rest of the continent. Because of this, the wildlife that evolved on the island is unlike anything you will find throughout the rest of Africa and the rest of the world. It is here in Madagascar where you will find the spectacular Andasibe-Mantadia National Park, which is one of my all-around favorite national parklands in the entire world. The park protects a large swath of rainforest on the eastern side of the island and includes the Analamazaotra Reserve, which is home to the large indri lemur. These incredible creatures are known for their distinctively loud and beautiful song.

However, these adorable creatures aren’t the only animals you will find within Andasibe-Mantadia National Park. The park is also home to eight additional species of lemurs, including the lesser bamboo lemurs, rufous mouse lemurs, greater dwarf lemurs, and eastern woolly lemurs. Spotting these amazing creatures in the wild is certain to be an experience you will remember for a lifetime. In addition to the park’s lemurs, you will also find over 100 different species of birds and many different species of reptiles and amphibians. In fact, the park holds the world record for the number of different frog species and is home to the wonderful big Parson’s chameleon, which you will find nowhere else. It is because of these unique and incredible wildlife viewing opportunities that Andasibe-Mantadia National Park is undoubtedly one of the top national parks in the world for travelers to visit.

  1. Not a single one of these looks less than amazing. Did you know that to climb Angels’ Landing you must now submit to a lottery system? It’s on a trial basis but I doubt it’ll go away…

    • Yeah, so many incredible parks! It was so hard to narrow down to just 100. I heard that about Angel’s Landing. I am not surprised, to be honest. That trail was so packed the last time I was there. Made me nervous being a two way trail with such exposure. They added railings and an entrance fee to Horseshoe Bend too.
