If you have done any international traveling, you are probably familiar enough with the customs and immigration process and you are no stranger to the long lines that often accompany that process. I don’t think anyone in this world enjoys having to go thru the tedious customs and immigration process after having just gotten off of a long haul flight, but most travelers also understand the importance of such security measures.
If you were secretly hoping that the Customs and Border Protection (CBP) and Transportation and Security Administration (TSA) would come up with a more convenient and streamlined process to move people thru the customs and immigration process, then I have some really great news for you. They have been working very hard to do just that, and some very big changes are just around the corner.

I think it’s only human nature to want to make things as easy and accessible as possible, and phone apps are very good at doing both. We have put together a list of some of the phone apps that we frequently use for travel, as well as a few that we are very excited to try out.
While the REAL ID Act got a lot of attention when it was first passed back in 2005, it is something that hasn’t been in the news all that much in recent months. However, now that the Department of Homeland Security’s implementation deadline (January 22, 2018) is here, we thought it would be a great time to review the REAL ID Act and let you know how this could impact your travel plans.
However, in the years since the CBP started offering Global Entry, they have made some big strides in automating the entry process. A few years back, CBP released a new Mobile Passport App (pictured below) that is available through the Apple App Store or Google Play that does a fantastic job of streamlining the global entry process.
