There are a number of absolutely breathtaking mountain ranges in the United States and the Rocky Mountains in the Western part of the country are some of America’s most beautiful. Perhaps nowhere else in the country is this beautiful mountain range better showcased than in Rocky Mountain National Park in the state of Colorado. That is why I was beyond excited to create my Rocky Mountain Park Guide to share this beautiful park with you. Though with so many wonderful things to say about the park, it was hard to know where to being. With a range of elevation between 7,600-feet ( 2,316 meters) and 14,259-feet ( 4,346 meters) inside the park, the diversity of landscapes and wildlife that you will see while visiting Rocky Mountain National Park is truly awe-inspiring. In addition to a myriad of other wildlife, the park is home to over 280 different bird species, an abundance of elk, and the bighorn sheep that have become a symbol of this alpine park.
Positioned near the begging of the Barron River at the eastern edge of the Atherton Tableland, Kuranda is a hugely important area for biodiversity in the Tropical North of Australia. The area is home to Kuranda National Park and Barron Gorge National Park, which both belong to the Wet Tropics World Heritage Area and are two of Australia’s most beautiful parks. Completely surrounded by breathtaking rainforest, the Kuranda offers a large array of attractions for visitors to enjoy when they visit.
Because of its rich culture and breathtaking historical sites, creating a Córdoba travel guide was one of the easiest and most satisfying projects I have undertaken as a travel blogger. Once referred to as the “Constantinople of the Occident” and “Pearl of Moorish Spain” in because of its blend of different cultures who have, throughout its history peacefully coexisted, the beautiful city of Córdoba is one of the most popular tourist destinations in Spain. While the city is no longer one of the largest in the world, it is still one of the most culturally diverse cities in Europe.
What started out as a project to determine which countries I could visit internationally and what safety protocols were in place for those countries quickly turned into an exercise to inform you, my beloved readers, on what international travel options are available for Americans at this time and what health and safety protocols are in place throughout the world. I am hopeful that this information is helpful as you start to look at making plans to travel internationally again.
After a year filled with quarantines, travel restrictions, and lifestyle changes, I am sure I am not the only travel enthusiast who is really looking forward to turning the page on the year 2020. In an effort to brighten my own spirits, and hopefully yours as well by getting your mind on happier things like traveling, I decided to give an early preview of the big trip that I am planning for the year 2021. As you probably figured out from the title, I am planning a big trip to the Middle East next year and I could not be more excited. That is why I have decided to share this post on my Middle East travel plans.
With five popular national parks within a relatively short distance of one another in Southern Utah, there is definitely no shortage of amazing outdoor activities in the area. If you throw in the parks and monuments in Southern Colorado and Northern Arizona, this region is one of the premier outdoor adventure regions in North America. If you love outdoor adventure, then you will love all of the activities and sights that are outlined in my Capitol Reef National Park Guide. While some of the other national parks in Southern Utah may get more attention on tourist sites, any hardcore national parks enthusiast will tell you that Capitol Reef National Park is a hidden gem in the US National Parks system.
According to legend, the city of Rome was formed by brothers Romulus and Remus, who were raised by wolves. Fast-forward to today and perhaps no city in Europe has as deep and as storied a history as Rome. From the days of the Roman Empire, to the age of enlightenment and the Renaissance, to the hustle-and-bustle of modern-day Rome, the city has seemingly always loomed large throughout modern human civilization. This is part of what made creating a quintessential Rome Visitor Guide so interesting, yet so challenging. There are so many interesting and amazing things to see and learn about the city, it is difficult to know where to begin.
While Arches and Canyonlands National Parks draw a majority of the tourists to the Moab, Utah area, the Corona Arch is one of the Moab regions hidden gems. Because of its proximity to the city of Moab, the Corona Arch Hike is quickly becoming one of the areas most popular hikes. It is easy to get to, fairly accessible to people without a lot of hiking experience, and the Corona Arch is every bit as big and as beautiful as the infamous Delicate Arch inside Arches National Park.
If you are in the Melbourne, Australia area and you are looking for a fun and unique part-day excursion to enjoy, then the Penguin Parade on Phillip Island may be just what you are looking for. On this small stretch of coastline in Southern Australia, the world’s smallest penguin is the area’s biggest attraction. Because of their small size and relatively clumsy disposition on land, the Phillip Island penguins spend the majority of their time at sea. However, they do need to come back to land each day to rest and feed their young. Smartly, they do this at night when the eyesight of the birds of prey in the area is less sharp and the penguins are more protected.
Known by many as the “Niagara of the West”, the breathtaking Shoshone Falls in Southern Idaho is a landmark that all travelers who visit the American Southwest should have on their itinerary. With a drop of 212-feet (roughly 65-meters), Shoshone Falls is actually 45-feet (or roughly 14-meters) taller than the infamous Niagara Falls on the border between New York State and Canada. In addition to the high drop, the fact that rim of Shoshone Falls stretches to roughly 1,000-feet wide makes this waterfall special. So if you are a waterfall enthusiast, landscape photographer, or just love to see some of mother nature’s breathtakingly beautiful landscapes, the Shoshone Falls in Southern Idaho is an absolute must-see destination.
