There is so much to do and see in the American Southwest that it can sometimes get a little overwhelming trying to plan a trip to see it all. Well, fear not, because we are here to help.
You could spend thousands of dollars to take a pre-arranged tour, but why spend lots of money to get pigeon-holed into a set itinerary and forced to explore on someone else’s timeline? If you are planning a visit to the Grand Staircase – Escalante National Monument and you are looking for a fun hike that isn’t too difficult, the Zebra Slot Canyon hike should be near the top of your list. This is one of the more popular hikes in the Grand Staircase – Escalante National Monument because the hike is relatively easy and the Zebra Slot Canyon is beautiful. As a bonus, you can add the Tunnel Slot Canyon to the hike and make the hike a nice loop hike.
Long Canyon slot was a remarkable slot canyon that we were able to explore while visiting the Grand Staircase – Escalante National Monument in Southern Utah last week. It is just one of many slot canyons in the Grand Staircase, but it is one of the prettier ones that we were able to visit. Even though the slot isn’t too deep, the sheer height and size of the canyon was pretty cool to see.
We haven’t posted in a few weeks as things have been busy, but we wanted to check-in as we have just finished making plans for a National Parks trip to Southern Utah and Northern Arizona for later this month. It’s a trip that we are very excited about and we cannot wait to share our experiences in this amazing area with you.
