In my opinion, one of the most underrated national park lands in the United States is the breathtaking Great Sand Dunes National Park in Colorado. In putting together this Great Sand Dunes Guide, I had little trouble thinking of amazing things for visitors to see and do within this unique and beautiful park.
Like myself, I am sure most of your adventure travelers could use a little bit of good news right about now. While this isn’t necessarily breaking news, I do have some very good news to share with you none-the-less. As of December 27, 2020, the United States has a brand new national park. New River Gorge in the state of West Virginia has become West Virginia’s first national parkland and the nation’s 63rd protected land to get the national park designation.
I like to say to my friends and family that I think I was born into this world far too late. However, while I may not be the first to explore the amazing landscapes on this planet, that doesn’t mean that experiencing and exploring them won’t help me expand my horizons and grow as a person. That’s why I like to keep a travel bucket list of the travel adventures I want to have before I die.
