Incredible Things to Do in Dubai that will Leave Your Heart Refreshed

Incredible Things to Do in Dubai that will Leave Your Heart Refreshed

When looking at the futuristic wonderland that the city of Dubai is today, it is hard to imagine that as recently as 1991 there was only one skyscraper in the city. Today, the city is home to the world’s tallest four and five start hotels. The government has spent a lot of money ensuring that the city of Dubai is known for its tourism industry as much as it is for oil, and the result is one of the most incredibly modern and amazing cities on the planet. I mean, the city literally has ATM machines that dish out gold instead of cash. Who wouldn’t want to visit an incredible city like that?

It is home to one of the largest concentrations of elephants on the continent, is at the epicenter of Botswana’s great zebra migration, and offers one of the wildest and most authentic safari experiences you will find anywhere. An African safari is truly one of the world’s most incredible travel adventures and Chobe National Park is one of Africa’s most amazing parks to have that experience.

My KÜHL Konfidant Air Pants Review for Hikers and Climbers

My KÜHL Konfidant Air Pants Review for Hikers and Climbers

In this KÜHL Konfidant Air Pants review, I am going to give you my feedback on how well these pants performed for me during one of my most recent outdoor adventures. I took these pants on a 6-mile hike on one of Wisconsin’s most difficult hiking trails that required a great deal of rock scrambling and even some rock climbing. I will discuss my thoughts on the comfort, durability, performance, fit, and cost of these pants. Using these metrics, I will explain what I really liked about these pants, as well as where I think the pants fell a bit short of my expectations.

The Definitive Reflection Canyon Trail Guide for the Glen Canyon National Recreation Area

The Definitive Reflection Canyon Trail Guide for the Glen Canyon National Recreation Area

There are a number of spectacularly beautiful backcountry hikes that you can take in the Southern Utah area, but my favorite is undoubtedly the hike to Reflection Canyon in the Glen Canyon National Recreation Area. While it is one of the most breathtaking hikes that you will find in the area, it is also one of the most difficult. There is no marked trail to help you navigate the roughly 15-mile round trip hike thru slot canyons and deep washes, and shelter from the blistering sun is almost non-existent. That’s why I believe this trail earns every bit of the “Difficult” rating that it has been given. The awe-inspiring beauty of Reflection Canyon is definitely something that all backcountry hikers should see in their lifetime, but it is important that you are prepared for this hike before setting out. I have created this Reflection Canyon trail guide to help you with that preparation so that you can complete this hike safely and successfully.

In putting together this Great Sand Dunes Guide, I had little trouble thinking of amazing things for visitors to see and do within this unique and beautiful park.

New River Gorge – America’s Newest National Park

New River Gorge – America’s Newest National Park

Like myself, I am sure most of your adventure travelers could use a little bit of good news right about now. While this isn’t necessarily breaking news, I do have some very good news to share with you none-the-less. As of December 27, 2020, the United States has a brand new national park. New River Gorge in the state of West Virginia has become West Virginia’s first national parkland and the nation’s 63rd protected land to get the national park designation.

My Travel Bucket List – 2021 Edition

My Travel Bucket List – 2021 Edition

I like to say to my friends and family that I think I was born into this world far too late. I have a burning desire inside of me to explore and there are very few places in this world that haven’t already been explored. Having read books about Livingstone’s exploration of Africa and Lewis and Clark’s exploration of the American Northwest, I think it would have been so amazing to venture out into the unknown, not knowing what you would see or what experiences you would have. However, while I may not be the first to explore the amazing landscapes on this planet, that doesn’t mean that experiencing and exploring them won’t help me expand my horizons and grow as a person. That’s why I like to keep a travel bucket list of the travel adventures I want to have before I die. By sharing this list with you, I hope to ignite in you some of the passion for travel and exploration that I have burning inside of me.

Snowshoe Gear Guide for Adventure Travelers

Snowshoe Gear Guide for Adventure Travelers

If you follow my blog closely, you probably know that one of my biggest travel passions is exploring beautiful wilderness locations. Often times, that involves long hikes or climbs, but when I visit snowy cold weather locations, my favorite way of exploring is by snowshoeing. While hiking does require some equipment, such as adequate hiking boots or shoes to stay safe, snowshoeing requires quite a bit more equipment. Beyond the obvious need for snowshoes themselves, in order to be safe and comfortable while snowshoeing, one needs to make sure they have a myriad of other equipment with them. That is why I decided to create this snowshoe gear guide to assist eager explorers such as yourself.
