30. See the Polar Bears in Churchill, Canada

If you are into wildlife, this is a travel experience that you will never forget. Having the ability to see some of this world’s most amazing animals in their natural habitat is a big draw for me, and I can think of few other wildlife adventures more compelling than seeing polar bears in the wild. They are the largest land predators on the planet and seeing them outside the confines of a zoo would be unreal.
There is no better place in this world to see polar bears in the wild than Churchill, Manitoba in Canada.Β This self-proclaimed polar bear capital of the world has geared its tourism industry around seeing the bears.Β With specially designed all-terrain vehicles that get you high off the ground so that you can safely view the bears, you can get remarkably close to the bears and still be safe.Β If you are a wildlife enthusiast, seeing the polar bears in Churchill, Canada is definitely a travel experience you should have before you die.
29. Explore the Temples in Bali

They don’t call Bali “the Island of a Thousand Temples” for nothing.Β With at least three local temples in each village on the island, Bali has a treasure trove of amazing and beautiful temples for visitors to visit.Β If you are interested in architecture and love to explore beautiful buildings, they don’t come much prettier than the ones you will find in Bali.Β This is why I think exploring the temples in Bali is an experience that all travel enthusiasts should have before they die.
28. Backpack Along the Amalfi Coast

There are few places in Europe as breathtaking as the Amalfi Coast in Italy.Β With beautiful houses built-up on the steep ocean hillside and charming cities to explore, it is one of Italy’s premier travel destinations.Β However, this hot spot for celebrities and honeymooners isn’t just for the suitcase tourists.Β Its laid back atmosphere, beautiful beaches, and inviting small towns make it a great place to backpack as well.Β For this reason, backpacking along the Amalfi Coast in Italy is definitely an experience you should have before you die.

27. Ride the Trans-Siberian Railway

No other railway in this world is shrouded in as much intrigue as the Trans-Siberian Railway in Russia. After all, no other railway is so long that it runs thru 8 different time zones. What could be more adventurous than riding on the longest railway in the world thru some of the most remote and beautiful wilderness on the planet? If you are looking to participate in one of this world’s ultimate experiences, taking a ride on the Trans-Siberian railway should be on your list of things to consider.
26. Take a Hot Air Baloon Over Cappadocia

As if straight out of a fairytale, Cappadocia in Turkey is one of this world’s most enchanting and fascinating places to visit.Β Most people don’t realize that this amazing landscape spans over 3,100 miles and sits at over 3,200 feet in altitude.Β Imagine a beautiful landscape filled with stunning rock formations, and then fill the sky with hundreds of hot air balloons all at once.Β If this sounds amazing to you, then you should have a hot air balloon ride over Cappadocia on your bucket list.Β It’s on my bucket list and my Top 50 experiences to have before you die.
25. Run with the Bulls in Spain

When I was in Spain several years back, I didn’t have the opportunity to visit Pamplona and “run with the bulls”. It’s a tradition that dates back over 400 years, making it one of the longest-running, annual cultural events in the world. To this day, participating in this spectacular cultural event remains on my travel bucketlist. There are so many amazing cultural events that happen around the world and Running with the Bulls has to be near the top of the list.

24. Climb Mount Fuji in Japan

There are few mountains in this world that are as enchanting as Mount Fuji in Japan. Its distinctive cone shape and volcanic makeup make it unlike many of the other mountains in this world that people travel to climb. Since it was first climbed by a monk in the year 663, a steady stream of people has traveled to Mount Fuji each year to try their hand at climbing this charismatic mountain.
If you have always wanted to climb a mountain, but don’t think you are physically fit enough or skilled enough to climb one of the world’s more challenging peaks, then Mount Fuji might be right up your alley. It is considered one of the easier climbs of the tall peaks in this world and typically takes the average person between 4 and 8 hours to reach the summit. This makes it a very accessible peak to climb and is a big reason climbing Mount Fuji in Japan is on my list of travel experiences you should have before you die.
23. Take a Boat into the Mist of Iguazu Falls

There are some things in mother nature that just blow your mind they are so incredible.Β Iguazu Falls, which sits on the border between Argentina and Brazil, is one of these paces.Β The sheer enormity and beauty of the falls will literally leave you speechless.Β This series of waterfalls is actually over 275 waterfalls that combine together to form one of the largest waterfall systems in the world.
Iguazu Falls are so beautiful that first lady Eleanor Roosevelt’s first words when seeing Iguazu Falls were “poor Niagara”, as she knew instantly that the American falls paled in comparison to the beauty of Iguazu. One of the best ways to experience the falls is to take a boat ride. With so many waterfalls in this waterfalls complex, you will find yourself enveloped in a fog of mist that is remarkable.
There are a lot of beautiful places and great travel experiences that you can have in South America, but taking a boat ride into the mist of the Iguazu Falls in South America has to be one of the best travel experiences you can have in South America before you die.
22. Kayak in Milford Sound in New Zealand

Kayaking in Milford Sound on New Zealand’s South Island is a travel experience that I will get to cross off my bucket list later this year, and I could not be more excited about that.Β If I were asked to name the top 10 most beautiful places on the planet Earth, I would have a very hard time not putting Milford Sound on that list.Β It is that beautiful and that breathtaking.
With the mountains extending into the ocean to form some of the most mountainous and beautiful coastlines in the world, New Zealand’s South Island is filled with breathtaking landscapes. Arguably the most beautiful of these is Milford Sound. This large ocean inlet with inky black water is jaw-droppingly beautiful, which is why it attracts over a million visitors each year.
One of the best ways to see Milford Sound is to get out on the water and explore. Taking a guided boat ride is a good first step, but getting out on the water in a kayak allows you to really get up-close-and-personal with the beauty of this majestic place. If you are looking for an amazing travel experience, kayaking in Milford Sound in New Zealand should definitely be near the top of your list.

21. Hike Across the Grand Canyon

When it comes to epic landscapes, they don’t get much grander than the Grand Canyon, which is located in the state of Arizona in the United States.Β At roughly 277 miles long and over 18 miles across at its widest point, the Grand Canyon is truly one of mother nature’s most amazing creations.Β While it is beautiful to sit at the edge of the canyon and marvel at the canyon’s size and beauty, it is even more amazing to hike into the canyon itself.
By following the famed North Kaibab Trail (elevation 8,241 ft β 14.3 miles) trail and the Bright Angel Trail (9.6 miles β elevation 6,860 ft), hikers are able to traverse the Grand Canyon from the North Rim to the South Rim in a few days hike. These trails take you thru some of the most beautiful landscapes in the canyon on what can only be described as one of the most beautiful hikes in the world. If you are into hiking, then the adventure of hiking across the Grand Canyon is definitely something you should have on your list of travel experiences to have before you die.

Climbing Mt. Fuji and hiking the Grand Canyon look especially appealing. I donβt know about the Trans-Siberian, but the husband wants to ride the famed Orient Express
