Travel Journal – Exploring the Beautiful Chaing Mai, Thailand

Our first stop on our incredible Southeast Asia adventure was the amazing city of Chiang Mai, Thailand. We explored a number of amazing temples, national parklands, the incredible Sunday night market, and ate some amazing food.

On the first day, we explored Doi Inthanon National Park. This mountainous park is home to the highest point in Thailand and has a number of breathtaking waterfalls and pagodas, as well as being the home of the beautiful Karen hill tribe of Thailand.

The next day we headed north to Chiang Rai to explore the beautiful white temple and take a boat ride on the mighty Meakong River near the infamous Golden Triangle (the place where Thailand, Laos, and Myanmar meet). It is a spot made notorious by its past opium production. Such an incredible day of exploration.
