A New Year – Our 2019 Travel Plans

A New Year – Our 2019 Travel Plans

This past year was another banner travel year for us, with so many new places seen and familiar places revisited.  Even if you have been somewhere before, it can seem almost new if you haven’t been there in a while.  It seems no matter how often I visit Southern Utah, I am always discovering something new and fascinating when I visit.  In case you haven’t seen it yet, I put together a post on my Top Photographs from 2018 and there are some images I am pretty proud of in there.

The Ultimate Visitor’s Guide to Ronda, Spain

The Ultimate Visitor’s Guide to Ronda, Spain

If you are looking for that quintessential Spanish fairytale experience, then look no further than the city of Ronda in Spain’s Malaga province. This mountaintop city, which is built-up on the precipice of a deep gorge, looks like it was conjured up from the mind of one of this world’s greatest storytellers. It really is that beautiful and unique.

While this fabulous city may not have been imagined up by a great storyteller, it has attracted some of this world’s most creative minds. In fact, both Olson Wells and Ernest Hemingway spent some significant time in this city of dreams throughout their lives. According to Hemingway, “Ronda is the place where to go, if you are planning to travel to Spain for a honeymoon or for being with a girlfriend. The whole city and its surroundings are a romantic set.”

The Everything You Need Big Bend National Park Guide

The Everything You Need Big Bend National Park Guide

Everything in Texas tends to be big, and the national parks that reside within the state are no exception.  Big Bend National Park even has the word “big” in its name.  With a total size of 801,163 acres, Big Bend ranks as the fourteenth largest national park in the United States and the seventh largest park in the continental United States.  Not only is the size of the park big, but the vistas are large, the hikes are large, and the hearts of the people in this part of the country are large as well.

My Top 25 Travel Photos of 2018

My Top 25 Travel Photos of 2018

As a travel photographer, I am always moved to journey to new places, try new things, and capture as much of my experiences in photographs as I possibly can. It was a lot of fun to look back on all of the places I have seen this year, and that exercise was all the more enjoyable because I had so many great pictures to remind me of my experiences.

This year has been one of the most memorable years of travel I have had, and the result has been some truly inspiring photographs.  There was a lot to choose from (because I tend to take quite a few pictures), but I have chosen my Top 25 pictures from this year’s travels that I want to share with you.
