In the final installment of my Epic National Park Roadtrips series, I am going to focus on a road trip that highlights some of the best national parklands that the state of California has to offer. Not only is the state of California one of America’s biggest states, but it is also one of the country’s most beautiful. For that reason, it should come as no surprise that California is tied with the state of Alaska for the most national parks in the United States with eight.
In this fourth part of my Epic National Parks Road Trips series, I am going to walk you thru a road trip itinerary that takes you thru some of America’s most stunning national parklands. The Pacific Northwest is renown for its wildness and its beauty and the national parks that are found in the Pacific Northwest of the United States are no different. They are wild and they are beautiful.
In this third installment of my Epic National Parks Road Trips series, I will be talking to you about an itinerary that takes you thru some of the most remarkable desert mountains and caves in the Southern United States. As you make your way thru the states of Texas, New Mexico, and Arizona, you will see one of the largest cave systems in the world, one of the biggest cactus species in the world, and beautiful mountains and rivers that have shaped the American Southwest.
The first epic national parks road trip in my series covers some of the most well-known and popular national parks and monuments in the United States. After flying into Rapid City, South Dakota and renting a car, you will start exploring almost immediately. With the Badlands National Park and Mount Rushmore in the Rapid City area, you will get your first taste of America’s national parks and monuments right at the start.
The American Southwest has some of the most beautiful landscapes in North America. From mountains, to desert, to canyons and breathtaking lakes, it really has it all. There is so much to do and see in the American Southwest that it can sometimes get a little overwhelming trying to plan a trip to see it all. Well, fear not, because we are here to help.
You could spend thousands of dollars to take a pre-arranged tour, but why spend lots of money to get pigeon-holed into a set itinerary and forced to explore on someone else’s timeline? Instead, we have put together a series of rough itineraries and planning guides that you can use to plan your own trip to explore these beautiful landscapes.
If you are into grand and beautiful vistas, then you aren’t going to want to miss a stop at Horseshoe Bend in Northern Arizona. Nowhere else is the Colorado River’s sculpting of the sandstone of the American Southwest more beautiful.
Unlike some stunningly beautiful spots in this world, Horseshoe Bend is not very difficult to get to. It is a short and easy one mile hike from the roadside parking to the viewpoint, so it is something that everyone is able to enjoy. In this guide we will let you know how to get to Horseshoe Bend, when the best times to visit are, and show you some of the stunning pictures we have been able to take of Horseshoe Bend during our many visits over the years.
The county of Kerry in Ireland has some absolutely amazing and beautiful places to see within it. So much so that we consider it a must-see for anyone who is thinking about visiting Ireland. However, it is also a pretty big area, and planning what to see and how can be a pretty daunting task unless you have some guidance.
Well fear not, because that is exactly what we plan to give you in this guide to visiting the Ring of Kerry. We are going to explain to you what the Ring of Kerry is, as well as touch on some of the top attractions that you can view on this famous Irish road trip.
We haven’t posted in a few weeks as things have been busy, but we wanted to check-in as we have just finished making plans for a National Parks trip to Southern Utah and Northern Arizona for later this month. It’s a trip that we are very excited about and we cannot wait to share our experiences in this amazing area with you.
