As an avid traveler, I would love to live in a world where travel restrictions don’t exist and people are able to visit all of the beautiful places in this world without having to jump thru a bunch of hoops.  With the news coming out last week about new travel restrictions for Americans visiting Cuba, and news earlier this year that the EU will be requiring a new electronic authorization for many countries starting in 2020, it was a pleasant surprise to hear this week that Brazil will be further reducing its Visa requirements for a select number of countries.

Friday Sound-Off: Are Antimalarial Medications Worth Taking?

It is a question that I have asked myself a few times before traveling internationally.  Do I take an antimalarial and deal with the sickness that is often a side-effect, or do I forgo the antimalarial and increase my odds of getting Malaria?  The answer to that question seems pretty straight-forward, and it probably is.  However, you would be surprised at how many people actually choose to not take an antimalarial before their trip.
