Incredible Chobe National Park

Chobe National Park, Botswana

Instagram Travel Photography - Chobe National Park Hippo

There are so many different factors that go into determining what makes a great wildlife park for a safari that it is really hard to pick some parks over others. However, there is one park that I have visited in Africa that I will say really stands above the others for a variety of reasons. There is just something magical about Chobe National Park in Botswana that really sets it apart from other parks.

In addition to having some of the largest elephant herds in Africa, the park is also home to some of Africa’s largest lions. If you hunted primarily elephants and buffalo every day, you’d get big too. The park is also home to many other animals for visitors to enjoy.

One of my favorite parts about going on safari in Chobe is getting to take a boat safari down the Chobe River. Not only does this allow you to see the elephants playing in the river, but it also allows you to get closer than you typically could to animals like the crocodile and the hippo. That is how I was able to capture this photo of this lovely hippo.

I mentioned Chobe is my favorite park for safari, what’s yours?
