Last year was remarkable in that borders started to re-open to international travelers and people started to venture out and travel internationally again. With the calendar flipping to 2023, I anticipate that we will see that momentum continue and hopefully a record number of tourists will get out and start exploring this beautiful world again. The world is a very big, beautiful, and diverse place, with so much to see and learn from each other. If you are looking for some great destinations to travel to this year, you will want to browse my list of the top destinations for 2023.

There are so many incredible places that I have seen or want to see, so it was very difficult narrowing this list down to the top 30 travel destinations for 2023. The destinations on my list were picked because they are all unique destinations in some way, shape, or form.

On this list, you will find some of the world’s most spectacular mountain destinations, some of the world’s premier beach getaways, locations that are full of rich and inspiring history, and some of the most incredible wildlife destinations in the world.

There are destinations on this list that are sure to intrigue all different types of travelers. However, if you have a travel destination in mind for yourself this year and you don’t see it on my list, please be sure to leave it in the comments!

Previous Top Destinations Lists

Before I get into my list of the top travel destinations for 2023, I would like to take a moment to review my lists of the top travel destinations from the past few years. I included some incredible destinations on my list last year, and some of those destinations you will find on the list for this year as well. I have heard from many of you throughout the past year, so I know that some of you had adventures planned to some of these destinations. I hope that your travel experiences last year were wonderful, and I wish you happy, safe, and healthy travel this year!

Cairo, Egypt

Few destinations on Earth are as filled with as much history as the incredible city of Cairo, Egypt. Between the incredible Pyramids, the wonderful bazaar in Old Cairo, or any of the other historical buildings and monuments the city is famous for, there is no shortage of things to see in Cairo.

If you have the time, I also recommend taking an overnight cruise down the Nile River and taking some time to tour Luxor and some of Egypt’s other amazing cities. Or you can combine a trip to Egypt with a visit to Israel and Jordan now that the border crossing as back to being open post COVID. Regardless of what you see and do in the city, Cairo, Egypt is definitely one of my choices for the top travel destinations for 2023.

Victoria Falls, Zimbabwe

The continent of Africa is full of incredible and beautiful places. In my opinion, one of the most spectacular destinations to visit is the wonderful city of Victoria Falls in Zimbabwe. Tourism in Zimbabwe suffered under the previous political regime, but since the new government was formed tourists have been flocking back to this amazing city.

Not only is the city home to Victoria Falls, which is one of the amazing wonders of the world, but it is also close to some of Africa’s best safari parks. Both Chobe National Park in Botswana and Hwange National Park in Zimbabwe are within short driving distance of the city and can be visited on a day tour. With so much to see and do in this remarkable city, it was a no-brainer to add to my list of the top travel destinations for 2023.

Douro Valley, Portugal

For travelers who like to travel to eat, and especially to sample and purchase great wine, there are many places in the world you could visit. However, if you would like to frequent one of the world’s lesser-known, and most underrated wine destinations, I would suggest looking at the Douro Valley in Portugal.

The Douro Valley is on my list of the top travel destinations for 2023 because it has spectacular vineyards and is one of the prettiest destinations in Europe. In between wine tastings, you can take a romantic boat cruise down the Douro River or a captivating train ride along the Douro Line. So, if you are looking for that next big wine destination to cross off your list, the Douro Valley in Portugal may be just what you are looking for.

Aysén, Chile

If you need to get away from the hustle-and-bustle of everyday life this year, I may have the perfect place for you to plan your escape. You may not recognize the city of Aysen, Chile by name, but it is located in one of the most breathtaking places in the world.

The Patagonia region of South America is renowned for its jagged mountain peaks, incredible coastline, and beautiful vistas. The Aysén Region of Patagonia is known for its vast glaciers, gorgeous fjords, and amazing snow-capped mountains.

It is located in close proximity to the Laguna San Rafael National Park, which encompasses the Northern Patagonian Ice Field. This is one of the most beautiful ice fields in the entire world. With so much beauty and incredible scenery, Aysen, Chile is undoubtedly one of the top travel destinations for 2023.

Kyoto, Japan

If mountain adventures or beach getaways aren’t your thing, you may be interested in the next destination on my list of the top travel destinations for 2023. The country of Japan is routinely rated amongst the top travel destinations ever year and the beautiful city of Kyoto, Japan is one of the country’s top tourism treasures.

Well-known for its many classical Buddhist temples, incredible imperial palaces, gorgeous Shinto shrines, and some of the most beautiful gardens in the world, Kyoto is certain to impress even the pickiest of travelers. In addition to touring the city’s amazing temples and shrines, you can also enjoy some of Japan’s finest cuisine.

After all, Kyoto is renowned for its formal kaiseki dining tradition, which involves multiple courses of intricate dishes served by the legendary geisha hostesses and entertainers. With all of this to see and do, a trip to Kyoto is certain to leave you with lasting memories.

Moab, Utah, USA

If you haven’t visited the American Southwest, you are really missing out on one of the most incredible landscapes in the world. While there are many wonderful places to visit in the Southwest United States, I am particularly fond of the Moab, Utah area.

Moab is renowned for being one of the adventure capitols of America, with an incredible number of parks, national monuments, recreation areas, and other areas of interest in close proximity. Both the iconic Canyonlands National Park and Arches National Park are located just outside the city limits, which makes Moab a wonderful place to use as a base camp to explore these amazing parklands.

There is also a wealth of incredible hiking, mountain biking, and ATV trails in the area surrounding the city, which attracts droves of adventure travelers to the city each year. So, if you are looking for a little adventure this year, a visit to Moab, Utah in the United States may be just what you are looking for.

The Lofoten Islands, Norway

For travelers who love being outdoors when traveling, then there may not be a destination on my list of the top travel destinations for 2023 that you will love more than the breathtaking Lofoten Islands in Norway. Located roughly 800 miles from the city of Oslo and sitting 95 miles north of the Arctic Circle, the Lofoten Islands are known for being some of the most rugged and remote islands in the world.

Made famous by the literary works of Jules Verne, these islands have become a tourist hotspot in recent years because of how drop-dead gorgeous they are to see in person. Seriously, some of the pictures of the island look just too beautiful to be real, but they are.

Visitors can take boat tours around the island to enjoy the beautiful vistas and the plentiful marine life. The islands are also a great place to try some authentic Nordic cuisine, which includes some of the freshest seafood you will find. So, if you have always wanted to visit a place that is too pretty for postcards to do justice, I would strongly consider a trip to the Lofoten Islands in Norway this year.

Sydney, Australia

There are some destinations on this list of the top travel destinations for 2023 that are so well-known within traveling circles that they really don’t need much of an introduction. In my opinion, the incredible city of Sydney, Australia is one of these cities.

As one of the largest cities in the “Land Down Under”, Sydney has long been regarded as one of the most beautiful and fascinating cities in the world. Its opera house is widely regarded as one of the most gorgeous architectural structures in the world and its harbor bridge is one of the world’s most iconic landmarks.

However, the city of Sydney is more than just a beautiful cityscape. It is also home to some of the world’s most incredible beaches, some of the kindest and accepting people you will ever meet, and chalk-full of family friendly venues like its world-renowned zoo. If you are looking for a vacation to remember this year, you really can’t go wrong by visiting the amazing city of Sydney, Australia.

The Dalmatian Coast, Croatia

For travelers who would like to visit Europe this year but aren’t interested in visiting some of the more crowded tourist destinations, I would suggest taking a look at the beautiful country of Croatia. The country is chock-full of incredible things to see and do but isn’t as crowded with tourists as some other destinations in Europe.

In particular, I am fond of the breathtaking Dalmatian Coast, which is located on the country’s eastern shore of the Adriatic Sea. Visitors to the Dalmatian Coast will be mesmerized by the mysterious islands, rugged shoreline, and beautiful sea caves. In addition to some of the best beaches in Europe, the coast is also full of quaint little towns in which to shop, sight-see, and enjoy the local cuisine. Without a doubt, the Dalmation Coast in Croatia is one of the most underrated destinations on my list of the top travel destinations for 2023.

Lucerne, Switzerland

There are a number of amazing mountain destinations on my list of the top travel destinations for 2023, but few have the charm that the beautiful city of Lucerne, Switzerland has. This incredible alpine city has some of the most exquisite medieval architecture that you will find anywhere in Central Europe. One look at its infamous Chapel Bridge and you will immediately fall in love with the city’s charm.

Beyond the city, Lucerne has an abundance of outdoor activities that both adventure and leisure travelers can enjoy. The amazing Lake Lucerne is a great place to go parasailing or sailing but is also a wonderful place to take a tourist cruise to enjoy the incredible views with a beverage.

For those that are extra adventurous, the incredible Alps sit just outside the city limits for you to enjoy. With so many incredible things to keep travelers entertained, it is no wonder that Lucerne, Switzerland is such a tourist hot spot year-after-year.

Bogotá, Columbia

It wasn’t too long ago that the country of Columbia had a very rough reputation. Because of this, the tourism in this breathtakingly beautiful country really fell off the map. However, in the past few decades, Columbia has gone above and beyond to solve its crime issues and is now one of the safest places in the Americas to travel.

If you have always wanted to visit this beautiful country, this year is the perfect time to make that dream a reality. One of the most popular spots to visit in Columbia is its high-altitude capital of Bogotá. This incredible city is renowned for its delightful cobblestoned city-center, gorgeous colonial-era landmarks, amazing food, and a vast array of exciting excursions for travelers to enjoy. The only problem is that after a few days of exploring the wonderful city of Bogotá, Columbia, you may never want to leave.

Cape Town, South Africa

When I visited South Africa this past year, I was absolutely blown away by the beauty of the country. In my opinion, one of the most beautiful and incredible cities in the country is the picturesque city of Cape Town. With stunning coastline, the amazing Table Mountain as a back-drop, and a seemingly endless number of things to do in and around the city, Cape Town is one of Africa’s top tourist destinations.

If you like to be outdoors, the city has some of the most incredible beaches you will find anywhere, as well as some top-notch hiking trails that will challenge even the most skilled hikers. The city is also a short distance away from the Cape Peninsula, where visitors can explore the Cape of Good Hope and see the delightfully cute African Penguins at Boulder Beach. So, before you plan your next big adventure this year, make sure the wonderful city of Cape Town, South Africa is on your list of places to consider.

Fiji

When I was little, I saw a picture of divers swimming alongside of a gigantic whale in a National Geographic magazine. Ever since then, visiting the South Pacific and swimming with whales has been a dream of mine. If you share this dream, then you will absolutely love the next destination on my list of the top travel destinations for 2023.

Tucked into the South Pacific, there is an archipelago of more than 300 islands that comprises the country of Fiji. Not only does Fiji have some of the world’s most breathtaking beaches, beautiful coral reefs, and crystal-clear lagoons, but it is also one of the best places in the world to go to swim with whales and other marine wildlife. So, if you would like to add a little adventure and beach time to your agenda this year, make sure Fiji is on your list!

Corcovado National Park, Costa Rica

Widely regarded to be one of the “most biologically intense” places on Earth, the incredible Corcovado National Park in Costa Rica is a tropical magnet for wildlife enthusiasts around the world. Located on Costa Rica’s remote Osa Peninsula, Corcovado looks like it could have been a set for one of the Jurassic Park movies.

Its thick jungle, stunning beaches and coastline, and wide variety of exotic wildlife make it one of the more exciting locations on my list of the top travel destinations for 2023. From the moment you set foot in this tropical playground, the sounds of howler monkeys and a variety of beautiful birds will make you feel like you have wandered into an untouched paradise.

Among the many animals that can be spotted in the park include Squirrel Monkeys, White-Faced Capuchin monkeys, Spider monkeys, Baird’s tapirs, Northern Tamandua, Margay, Three-toed sloths, White-Nosed Coati, the American crocodile, and of course the legendary jaguar.

So, if you are a wildlife enthusiast looking for your next big wildlife adventure for this year, I would strongly suggest considering the incredible Corcovado National Park in Costa Rica.

The Amalfi Coast, Italy

With a treasure trove of historical monuments, incredible cuisine, and some of the world’s most stunning landscapes, there are a lot of reasons to visit Italy. However, one of my favorite things about this beautiful country is its abundance of breathtaking coastline.

In a country that isn’t short on beautiful coastline, the Amalfi Coast is undoubtedly one of the most beautiful stretches. With steep, rocky cliffs, amazing sea stacks, breathtaking beaches, and some of the most beautiful cities you will ever see perched along the coast, it isn’t hard to fall in love with this region of Italy.

While some of the country’s big cities such as Venice, Rome, and Florence may attract bigger crowds, the tourist life in and around Amalfi is much slower and laid back. And for the people who tend to visit this heaven on Earth, that is just the way they like it. That’s why the Amalfi Coast in Italy is undoubtedly one of the top travel destinations for 2023.

Cappadocia, Turkey

If you have ever wanted to feel like you are in a fairytale land, then you aren’t going to want to miss out on the next destination on my list of the top travel destinations for 2023. There are few places in the world as unique and mesmerizing as Cappadocia, Turkey.

This semi-arid region in central Turkey is renowned for its unique “fairy chimneys” that fill the landscape as far as your eyes can see. They are clustered in Monks Valley and Göreme and make you feel like you leapt from your life and landed in the pages of a fairytale book.

However, these beautiful rock formations are more than just eye candy for travelers. During the Bronze Age, early inhabitants carved homes into the valley walls and built breathtaking churches into the rock. One of the most popular activities for visitors to Cappadocia is to take a hot air balloon ride up and over the beautiful rock formations. Every day, the skies above Cappadocia are filled with brilliantly colored balloons, which just adds to the beauty of this amazing place.

Chobe National Park, Botswana

For those who love wildlife, I don’t know that there is a destination on my list of the top travel destinations for 2023 that will excite you more than the incredible Chobe National Park in Botswana. There are a lot of iconic wildlife parks in Africa, but few, if any are as wild or as authentic as Chobe.

Unlike other countries in Africa, Botswana has made a concerted effort to make their wildlife parks as wild and as authentic as possible. Located along the mighty Chobe River near the border with Zimbabwe, Chobe National Park is home to some of the largest elephant and Cape buffalo herds in all of Africa.

Because of the abundance of large prey, there is also a large number of apex predators like lions and hyenas that live in the park as well. In fact, in the remote Savute region of the park there are large prides of lions who specialize in hunting elephants. These are some of the largest lions that you will find anywhere in the world.

So, if seeing some of Africa’s most amazing animals in one of the most incredibly wild parks in Africa is something that gets you excited, you will definitely want to consider visiting the incredible Chobe National Park this year.

Chiang Mai, Thailand

While every continent in the world is beautiful, there is something about Asia that makes it even more alluring to travelers. With some of the world’s most biodiverse rainforests, the highest mountains, and some of the world’s oldest civilizations, Asia is an incredible place to explore as a traveler.

One of the most popular countries in Asia with tourists is the incredible country of Thailand. While most tourists tend to flock to the country’s incredible beaches, I think the often-forgotten gem of Thailand sits in the mountainous northern region of the country. It is here that you will find the incredible city of Chiang Mai.

Home to hundreds of beautiful and elaborate Buddhist temples that are often adorned by detailed carvings of serpents, Chang Mai is unlike any city you will ever visit. Known as the “Rose of the North”, the city is steeped in history and surrounded by some of the most beautiful architecture you will ever see. For travelers looking to get away from the typical beach vacation and soak in some culture, a trip to the amazing city of Chiang Mai, Thailand this year is certain to captivate you.

South Georgia Island

For travelers who enjoy far-flung adventures, the next destination on my list of the top travel destinations for 2023 will be right up your alley. Harken back to the days of the arctic explorers and witness some of the world’s most incredible arctic wildlife on an adventure to the British Overseas Territory of South Georgia Island and the South Sandwich Islands.

These islands, which sit around 870 miles east of the Falkland Islands, have some of the largest penguin colonies in the world. In addition, its beaches are a common resting spot for fur seals and the enormous Southern Elephant Seal, which can grow to be larger than a car.

The area around in the island is so nutrient-rich that it is also one of the best spots in the world to spot whales, who visit the Antarctic waters each year to feed. So, if you are looking for a unique and inspiring adventure this year, I would strongly suggest considering the incredible South Georgia Island and Antarctica for an adventure.

Banff, Canada

North America has some absolutely breathtaking destinations you can visit, and there are more than a few on my list of the top travel destinations for 2023. However, one of my favorite spots to visit on the continent is undoubtedly the beautiful alpine city of Banff in Alberta, Canada.

If you love Switzerland, then you will absolutely love visiting Banff. This breathtaking resort town is located near Banff National Park and features some of the most jaw-droppingly beautiful mountain peaks in the Canadian Rockies. In the city, the main thoroughfare is lined with lovely boutiques and restaurants for visitors to enjoy.

The area is also home to some of the most unique and exquisite château-style hotels you will find outside of the Swiss Alps. For the nature lovers, the parkland that surrounds Banff is home to incredible wildlife such as grey wolves, grizzly bears, and an abundance of elk. With so much to see and do in Banff, it should definitely be on the short list for anyone planning a big travel adventure this year.

Nashville, Tennessee, USA

Another North America destination that all travelers should consider when looking at travel destinations for 2023 is the wonderful city of Nashville, Tennessee in the United States. Not only is Nashville a beautiful city, but it is also the legendary home to iconic country music venues such as the Grand Ole Opry House and the Country Music Hall of Fame.

If you love to hit the town for some nightlife when you travel, there are few destinations that you will love more than Nashville. Broadway, which is the main thoroughfare thru downtown Nashville, is chock-full of incredible bars that feature some of the best live music you will find anywhere in the United States.

Before you hit the town, you can also enjoy a round of golf at one of the area’s many incredible golf courses, relax at one of the area’s many wonderful spa’s, or take a tour of one of the many legendary whiskey and bourbon distilleries in the area. And of course, you can’t leave Nashville without trying the food. The barbeque and the chiken and waffles are the stuff of legend and should be on every visitor’s to-do list when they visit Nashville.

Seville, Spain

With warm and sunny weather year-round, the country of Spain is a popular vacation destination for many travelers throughout Europe. While Spain has an abundance of truly incredible cities for travelers to explore, the city of Seville is one of my favorites and a top choice for my list of the top travel destinations for 2023.

In addition to the nice weather, Seville is renowned for its breathtaking architecture, incredible food, and for its amazing art scene. The city is chalk-full of incredible things to see and do. Throughout the city, you will find many structures and monuments that symbolize different periods in the city’s colorful history.

The city is considered to be the cultural and artistic capital of southern Spain, and that distinction is well-deserved. After all, it is the birthplace of the iconic Flamenco dance, which visitors can see at a number of local theatres. These performances, much like the incredible food, are what makes Seville, Spain such an amazing travel destination that everyone should consider this year.

Bora Bora, Tahiti

Sometimes as travelers, we just need to get away from it all and find a nice spot by the ocean to soak in the sun and relax. Even better if that spot is in one of the most breathtaking tropical destinations in the entire world. What could possibly be better than having your own private villa that sits on top of crystal blue ocean waters? If you travel to Bora Bora in the French Polynesian Islands, that could be your reality.

Surrounded by a beautiful lagoon and a barrier reef full of gorgeous tropical fish, Bora Bora is one of the most stunning and secluded places on Earth. It is the perfect place to get away from the stresses of everyday life and just recharge your batteries. That is why it is amongst my top travel destinations for 2023 and a place that you should seriously consider visiting if you are looking for the ultimate getaway in paradise.

Lima, Peru

The beautiful continent of South America is full of incredible destinations that are waiting to be explored. In my opinion, one of the most incredible cities in South America to visit is also one of the continent’s largest. With over 13 million people, Lima, Peru is one of South America’s largest cities.

However, when you visit, the city has a much smaller feel. Built along steep bluffs that overlook the beautiful Pacific Ocean, Lima is one of the prettier cities that you will ever visit. It is also a city that is full of history and culture for you to explore. It’s home to the Museo Larco collection of pre-Columbian art and the Museo de la Nación, tracing the history of Peru’s ancient civilizations.

Lima is also a great place to get acquainted with Peru before heading to Cusco in the Andes Mountains to explore the legendary ruins of Machu Picchu. One thing is for certain, a trip to visit Lima is a trip that you won’t soon forget.

Sagarmatha National Park, Nepal

For my fellow mountain enthusiasts, I have a destination that will get your wanderlust juices flowing like no other destination in the world can. When it comes to epic mountain adventures, nothing in the world beats the incredible Himalayan mountain range.

After all, these are the largest mountains in the world. Stretching across India, Pakistan, Afghanistan, China, Bhutan, and Nepal, the Himalayan mountain range contains fourteen mountains that are over 8,000 meters (or 26,246 feet) tall. To put this into perspective, no other mountain range on Earth has even a single mountain that is 8,000 meters tall.

If you are going to explore the Himalayas, you might as well go to the climbing and hiking epicenter, which is the incredible Sagarmatha National Park in Northeast Nepal. This breathtaking park includes deep ravines, large glaciers, and some of the tallest peaks in the Himalayas, including the magnificent Mount Everest.

However, you don’t have to be an alpine climber to enjoy this park. There are many trails for hikers of many different experience levels, and countless incredible viewpoints for visitors to enjoy. So, if you feel like getting out and exploring the top of the world this year, I suggest considering the amazing Sagarmatha National Park in Nepal.

Edinburgh, United Kingdom

For travelers who love history, the amazing city of Edinburgh, Scotland in the United Kingdom may be just what you are looking for this year. Not only is Edinburgh home to some of Europe’s most amazing monuments, such as Edinburgh Castle and the beautiful Rosslyn Chapel, but it is chock full of incredible shops and restaurants for visitors to enjoy as well. One of my favorite spots to visit in the city is the Royal Mile, which is a street that is lined with can’t-miss shops, activities, and food that will keep you busy for hours.

If you have the time, I would also recommend taking a short drive to the nearby city of Stirling, where you can see the Stirling Castle and the memorial to William Wallace (of Braveheart Fame) in person. The drive is short and the experience is nothing short of remarkable. There is so much to see and do in Edinburgh that it continues to be a ca n’t-miss destination for me to recommend year after year, which is why it is on my list of the top travel destinations for 2023.

George, South Africa

When most travelers think of South Africa, chances are the first thing that comes to mind is the incredible Kruger National Park and wildlife safaris. While both Kruger National Park and South Africa are renowned for their incredible wildlife viewing opportunities, you would be remiss if you visited South Africa and didn’t take some time to explore the country’s incredible coastline.

In fact, one of the most beautiful stretches of coastline in the entire world is located on the southern coast of South Africa. This is where you will find the iconic Garden Route National Park and its spectacular stretches of rugged, rocky coastline. In the heart of the Garden Route, you will find the delightful city of George, South Africa.

Not only is George a wonderful place to use as a hub as you explore such amazing sights as Plettenberg Bay, the Storms River Mouth, and Robberg Nature Reserve, but this beautiful city is also full of incredible shops and restaurants for visitors to enjoy. So if you are planning a trip to South Africa this year, make sure you leave some time for a visit to the Garden Route and the delightful city of George on your itinerary.

Queenstown, New Zealand

There are many destinations in the world that claim to have the best outdoor adventure activities for travelers, but there is only one destination in the world that is resoundingly considered to be the outdoor adventure capital of the world.

That incredible destination is the city of Queenstown, New Zealand. Not only is this gem of New Zealand’s South Island postcard caliber beautiful, but the city also boasts so many outdoor adventure activities for visitors that it is simply mind-boggling. Because of its location in the breathtaking Southern Alps, many of these incredible activities center around alpine activities.

If you have ever wanted to skydive, go bungy jumping, canyon swinging, jet boat riding, or any other extreme sport that you can think of, then Queenstown is a great place to check that activity off your bucket list. Not only that, but the city is also full of incredible day hikes to viewpoints that will take your breath away.

For the same reason famed director Peter Jackson chose to shoot his Lord of the Rings mountain scenes near Queenstown, I have chosen to add this incredible city to my list of the top travel destinations for 2023.

Bar Harbor, Maine, USA

North America has some incredible coastline, with large stretches of California and Oregon being near the top of the list. However, in my opinion, the most stunning coastline in North America can be found along the coast of the state of Maine in the United States. Here you will find a stretch of rugged, rocky coastline that rivals any of the top coastal stretches in the world in terms of beauty.

The best place to see this stretch of coastline is near the city of Bar Harbor, Maine. Its close proximity to the incredible Acadia National Park and the fact that it is only a short drive from the major airport in Bangor, Maine make Bar Harbor an incredibly easy place to get to.

However, it isn’t just a convenient destination to reach. In addition to being at the doorstep of one of America’s most beautiful national parks, the city of Bar Harbor is full of amazing shops, restaurants, and activities for visitors to enjoy. So, if you love beautiful coastlines, make sure you add Bar Harbor to your destinations to visit this year.

If you have always dreamed about visiting Venice, but aren’t too keen about the large crowds that this popular Italian destination has been seeing recently, there is a great alternative in Europe that you might want to consider. Located in the West Flanders region of northwest Belgium, the beautiful city of Bruges is renowned for its breathtaking canals, its stunning cobbled streets, and its pretty medieval buildings.

Bruges is located just an hour away from the capital city of Brussels, and it is routinely voted amongst the most beautiful cities in Europe. With so many beautiful canals to enjoy and more castles per square inch than any other country on the planet, it isn’t hard to see why. I am not the only one to have Bruges, Belgium on a list of the top travel destinations for 2023, so if you want to see this amazing city before it becomes a tourist hotbed, I would hurry up!
