New Zealand has an abundance of breathtaking national parklands, especially on the country’s South Island. This is what has made the South Island of New Zealand one of the top destinations for travel photographers and travel adventurers from around the world. Out of all of the beautiful parklands the country has, the most well-known may be the stunning Aoraki\Mount Cook National Park.
From majestic glaciers to the towering mountaintops of the Southern Alps, to Milford Sound and the breathtaking fjords and sounds of Fjordland National Park, the South Island is a playground for travel photographers. From the moment you land to the moment you depart; you will not want to put your camera down.

When I was a kid, my parents bought be a National Geographic subscription and I used to page through those magazines and imagine visiting the far-away places that I read about on those pages. I would pin the pull-out maps on my wall and circle the places that I really wanted to see. My imagination would run wild as I thought about what it would be like to visit some of the amazing destinations and experience some of the wonderful cultural festivals I read about. I guess you could say that is when I first started to put together a travel bucket list, which is something I still keep track of to this day.

As one of the new Seven Wonders of the World, the site is familiar to most people. However, for most people, Machu Picchu seems like one of those places that you can dream of, but never manage to get to.

Between its historic castles, lush green fields, stunning cliffed shorelines, and culturally rich cities, Ireland really does have it all. Whether you are planning a trip to take part in the Saint Patrick’s Day festivities, learn about the storied history of the area, soak up views of the stunning Irish countryside, or try your hand at some of the country’s historic links golf courses, Ireland has a bit of something for everyone.
For many travelers, finding the perfect beach is the key to finding the perfect travel destination. For these travelers, there is no interest in the hustle-and-bustle of sightseeing in a busy city or the sweat and breathlessness that goes with alpine hiking. Instead, they would prefer to trade the subway pass or hiking boots for a beach towel and some sunscreen. When I look back at it, I think 2019 was a really good year for me for both travel and travel photography. I was extremely blessed to visit some truly breathtaking countries and capture what I think are some really quality photographs. As has become my tradition, at the beginning of each January I like to share with you what I believe are my best photographs from the year before. These are photographs that I am extremely proud of and very excited to share with you. I hope they inspire you to travel as much as other photographs that I have seen have inspired me to explore.
